A significant portion of our annual budget for charitable giving is committed to organizations with which our employees are actively engaged as volunteers. Our preference to lead engagement with non-profit organizations or other charitable causes is intended to match our philanthropic vision.


Seeing is Believing: Mandy Shapansky meets with the Prince of Wales


Prince Charles brings CEOs together to promote socially responsible business practices

Xerox Canada President and CEO Mandy Shapansky was part of a delegation of 12 Canadian CEOs invited to meet with the Prince of Wales as part of the Prince’s Seeing is Believing (PSiB) program, which promotes socially responsible business practices in Canada.

On January 29, the Canadian delegates met with other United Kingdom CEOs involved with PSiB, followed by lunch and private meetings with Prince Charles at St. James’s Palace – the home of several members of the Royal Family and their household offices.

PSiB’s current focus in Canada is on issues affecting disadvantaged youth and the Prince wants business leaders to use their position, resources and contacts to tackle related social issues. Through her involvement in the program, Mandy’s efforts are focused on mobilizing Canadian CEOs to help provide meaningful and sustainable employment opportunities for talented, aboriginal youth in urban centres across Canada, beginning in Toronto.

During the meeting with the Prince, each CEO made a commitment to His Royal Highness to recruit business leaders from across the country to build a network revolving around socially responsible business in Canada. Mandy herself committed to supporting and advancing aboriginal youth development in this country.
