PepsiCo’s RISE – Indigenous Network is dedicated to creating and sustaining meaningful relationships with Native American tribes and communities. This partnership fosters mutual benefit and supports PepsiCo’s broader commitment to cultural inclusion and success. A recent story from PepsiCo Canada highlights how one associate’s observation in the market inspired a unique initiative to celebrate and integrate Indigenous heritage within the company’s culture. In partnership with Mikinakoos, a grassroots Indigenous charity in Ontario, RISE Canada coordinated a bag-packing event to provide essential school supplies to First Nations children. Together, the teams filled backpacks with notebooks, pens, water, and non-perishable snacks, offering critical support to students in the Fort Hope First Nation—where a devastating fire recently destroyed their school. In just under an hour, 50 passionate PepsiCo volunteers packed 300 bags, directly benefiting children from Junior Kindergarten through Grade 9.
