A community of people with a shared purpose

At Nestlé, we believe in the power of food to enhance quality of life for everyone. Guided by this purpose, we constantly aim to push the boundaries of what’s possible with food, beverages, and nutritional health solutions.

Nestle Canada’s People & Culture

Our employees are at the heart of being a ‘force for good’.

It is through their determination that we will strive to make progress on our Net Zero Roadmap and advance regenerative food systems at scale. Their health and well-being is our priority. We respect and encourage all our employees and value their potential regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, national origin, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, age and different abilities. Nurturing inclusivity ensures we leave no one behind and makes us more productive and innovative.

Changemakers at Nestlé Canada

The Changemakers initiative showcases some of the incredible people that work at Nestlé Canada. A Changemaker is someone who makes a difference in big ways and small ways, sees the future and seizes opportunities, challenges the status quo and are passionate about making things more efficient, more profitable, and more impactful. Changemakers are fuelled by agility, courage and trust, and they ACT now to create tomorrow.

At Nestlé, our employees are empowered to evolve and make change, not change for the sake of change, but driving purposeful change into the organization and making it happen – that’s the special sauce that makes Nestlé great! Each month, we celebrate and share their stories to demonstrate how they’re making a difference in the world, whether through community, products, business, or people.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at Nestlé Canada

The DE&I Team at Nestlé Canada strives to create an environment where all employees feel valued and included. By advocating for and embracing inclusion, we are seeking to unleash the full potential of our workforce. We aim to cultivate a diverse and inclusive business culture and leadership because we believe this provides equal opportunities for everyone to contribute, grow and feel valued, and is characterized by an open-minded spirit and a profound sense of belonging. Our efforts are focused on championing diversity, equity and inclusion across all aspects of our business, including among our consumers and our communities. We recognize that as a company with our size and reach, we play an important role in embedding diversity and inclusion across everything we do, as it influences the way we think, the way we act and the way we work together at work, and in our communities.

Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)

Our 5 employee-led groups provide opportunities for connection and education at Nestlé, partnering with various teams and employees to drive awareness and conversation through activations on important topics and issues impacting us and our communities. Together with the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) Council, they work to provide insights on areas of opportunities, gaps, best practices, and recommendations for Nestlé to support a culture of inclusion and belonging.

ERG Streams:

  • Race & Ethnicity: Creating a culture of belonging that celebrates racial and ethnic diversity, engaging the voices of our community and encouraging open and honest dialogue.
  • Gender: Driving education and awareness around gender-based issues to enhance fair practice.
  • Pride Alliance (LGBTQ+): Establishing a safe space for LGBTQ+ employees to connect and socialize to promote a more inclusive workplace for all.
  • Mental Health: Normalizing conversations about mental health in the workplace to increase employee and line manager education and awareness on the importance of mental wellness.
  • Accessibility: Building a culture of accessibility and inclusion for all employees, customers and consumers.

We also partner closely with our ERGs in Nestle USA including the Indigenous Network & Friends (INF) which is an inclusive community that strives to drive awareness and education of our diverse Indigenous cultures, promote nutrition and health, and foster professional networking and development opportunities. Our hope is that we make a positive impact in both the places where we work and live for our Indigenous communities.
