Indigenous Relations
At CEDA, we are committed to building respectful and meaningful relationships with Indigenous peoples, communities and partners in our operating areas. We foster Indigenous inclusion through employment, community investment and business opportunities to bring about economic and social prosperity.
Employment and Training
Our goal is attract, develop and retain talent by working with local Indigenous communities to provide sustainable employment opportunities, offer customized training programs and enhance leadership skills to support Indigenous advancements within CEDA. Since 2015, we have been working with Indigenous communities to identify candidates seeking Class 1 or Class 3 driver’s licences required for Operator positions. Once licence requirements are met, we pair Indigenous candidates with experienced Operators to receive three months of on-the-job training with continuous support and resources.
We also capture workplace diversity statistics to help guide our Indigenous recruitment strategy and initiatives to ensure we continue to advance our Indigenous inclusion.
