Building Canada’s Future with High‑Speed Rail
Connecting communities, creating opportunities
The high-speed train Canada needs
With speeds reaching 300 km/h or more on approximately 1,000 km of dedicated and mainly electrified tracks, Alto will connect millions of people living along the Toronto–Québec City corridor.
Careers opportunities
To make this passenger rail service project a reality, we’re bringing together experts from a wide range of fields: engineering, transport, rail, project management, communication, etc.
Why do we need Alto now?
More than 18 million people already live in the corridor, and that number is expected to grow to 24 million by 2041. As the population increases, so does the need for faster, more reliable, and more sustainable ways to travel between cities.
The transportation network serving the corridor was not designed for this scale of demand. Highways and airports are frequently operating at or near capacity, leading to congestion, delays, and unreliable travel times. As population and economic activity continue to expand, these issues will intensify, increasing costs for travellers and businesses and eroding productivity.
High‑speed rail addresses the corridor’s transportation needs in a way that other transport infrastructure investments cannot. It can move more people, more quickly and reliably, and with far fewer emissions than cars or planes. By shifting millions of trips off roads and out of airports, it relieves pressure on existing infrastructure while improving connectivity between major urban centres.
Why choose Alto?
Working within our organization provides a unique opportunity for passionate individuals to contribute to a project that promises to revolutionize transportation in Canada.
Innovative Infrastructure: Alto introduces over 1,000 km of new rail, linking major cities like Toronto, and Québec City for greener, convenient travel, aligning with Canada’s emissions goals.
Professional Development: The chance to be part of a dynamic environment that fosters learning and growth, where every contribution is essential to the project’s success.
Impactful Work: Being part of our team means contributing to a service that will significantly benefit the Canadian economy by improving mobility for work, school, and personal travel. Come be part of Canada’s largest infrastructure project!
