The CGI Culture

Our culture is essential to CGI’s success and perenniality. We are built to grow and last. We are Guided by a Dream, Driven by our Vision, Committed to our Mission and Living by our Values. We are CGI.

Our Constitution is the foundation of our Culture, expressed in words. To learn more—and to read a Word from Our Founder—visit the CGI Culture page. This document explains the rationale of our Constitution and how it is a reflection of our Culture. It aims to guide all CGI consultants and professionals, whom we call members, in their day-to-day actions to live the Dream.

Our Mission

Our mission is to help our clients succeed through outstanding quality, competence and objectivity, providing thought leadership and delivering the best services and solutions to fully satisfy client objectives in information technology, business processes, and management.
In all we do, we are guided by our Dream, living by our Values to foster trusted relationships and meet our commitments now and in the future.

CGI is a participant of the United Nations Global Compact

CGI earns perfect score in the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation’s Corporate Equality Index

Affinity groups in our U.S. and Canada offices, called Black Member Alliance and Black, Asian, Indigenous and Minorities (BAIM) Network, respectively, have been established to promote awareness and empower CGI professionals. In February, these groups organized several activities that helped our professionals learn more about BHM and how CGI creates a diverse and inclusive culture in the workplace.

In Canada, the BAIM Network hosted an event with BHM pioneers, the Honorable Jean Augustine and Rosemary Sadlier, the two women who designated the annual national event in Canada.

A panel discussion was also held to talk about how our professionals can have meaningful and respectful conversations on race and how awareness of different experiences can be raised through interracial discussions.

In the U.S., a live panel shared how our professionals recognize differences and commit to equity in the workplace to build a stronger CGI. The panel covered the importance of career support, ways to address challenges, learning and career paths, and strategies to mentor young students of color interested in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).

Respect

Respect

In all we do, we are respectful of our fellow members, clients, business partners and competitors. As a global company, we recognize the richness that diversity brings to the company and welcome this diversity while embracing the overall CGI business culture.

STEM@CGI: Building tomorrow’s IT talent in our communities

STEM@CGI in the U.S. is a nationwide K-12 program that aims to train and mentor young people for STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) careers. STEM@CGI is part of CGI’s corporate commitment to building a diverse and robust future IT talent pool.

What our members say...

As a growing, global business, there are bags of opportunity at CGI. I have had the opportunity to work across a wide variety of sectors during my time here, bringing the latest technology to clients, addressing real business needs. There is also a genuine commitment to share ideas and knowledge between members. The culture here is like no other.

CGI works hard to support women in tech. For example, we’ve set up a support network where women can talk about developments in the industry, and where they can connect with leaders across the business. We’re actively involved in industry events that promote women in IT and engineering. From personal experience, I know that CGI has supported my own career development every step of the way.
